Account Deletion
Zeona users can request account deletion from inside the app. This page explains the deletion flow, the 30-day recovery window, and the support path if you cannot access the app.
1) In-App Deletion
In the app, go to Profile → Account & security → Delete account.
For your protection, deleting an account requires a recent sign-in. If you signed in more than five minutes ago, the app asks you to sign in again before it will accept the request, and it refuses the request if it cannot confirm that. Zeona may also limit repeated deletion requests from the same account in a short period.
- Standard user accounts are deactivated immediately after deletion is confirmed.
- The account then enters a 30-day recovery window.
- After the recovery window ends, Zeona permanently deletes or anonymizes the remaining user-linked data.
2) Privileged Accounts
If the account still has venue ownership or Zeona admin responsibilities, the request is recorded in-app and deletion does not start until those responsibilities are transferred safely. This is not a final answer on your request. Once the transfer is complete, you can request deletion again and it proceeds normally.
3) If You Cannot Access the App
Email support@zeona.io with the subject “Account deletion request” from your account email address, or include enough information for us to verify the request safely.
4) What Is Deleted vs Retained
- Firebase Auth credentials are deleted after the recovery window ends.
- Push-device registrations are removed when deletion starts.
- Favorites, profile data, avatars, and viewing/quota records are removed during final purge.
- Your Live Near You location anchor, your per-venue alert settings, and the stored records of your venue claims, applications, install requests, and venue page edits are removed no later than final purge.
- Support tickets may be kept with their identifying fields removed: the account identifier is replaced with a coded value, the email address and name are cleared, and any attachments are deleted.
- Product analytics records may be kept the same way, with the account identifier replaced by a coded value so historical totals stay correct without naming you.
- Security and admin audit logs may be retained when required for legal, fraud, or abuse-prevention purposes.
5) Recovery During the 30-Day Window
Recovery during the 30-day window is support-assisted. Contact support@zeona.io before the recovery window expires.
